Dr. Mike Carrigan practiced medicine for forty years, witnessing the suffering, faith, and death of many patients and the sustaining nature of that faith.
He has also personally suffered through the loss of his first wife in an auto accident, a son and a grandson, the near death of another son in an accident, and his own near death in an accident in which he had an encounter with his God. He was sustained by his own faith and by the love of friends and family.
From these tragic life experiences have flowed a body of poems, herein contained, which weave a beautiful tapestry of life, death, faith, love, friendship, and endurance. This tapestry will be a source of inspiration for others in the tragedies of life and in the day-to-day living of a life of faith.
