There are two kinds of beings living in this world: the prey and the predator.
The prey is often blithe and unaware of what may be waiting in the shadows, vulnerable to carelessness, misplaced trust, and a momentary lapse in judgment. The predator, on the other hand, remains concealed beneath a camouflage of patience, waiting for the prey to make the fatal mistake of crossing the threshold of its safety or placing its trust in the wrong hands.
This is a story of human nature in its starkest contrast, the capacity to show love, compassion, and selflessness on one hand, and the instinct to threaten, deceive, and inflict harm on the other.
During their winter break, four young friends venture deep into the wilderness to fulfil their long-cherished dream of exploring the backcountry. Unaware of the perils concealed within the vast and unforgiving forest, they soon find their courage, compassion, loyalty, and humanity put to the ultimate test. And when danger closes in, a brave retired Deputy emerges from the shadows to come to their rescue.
