"Almost Naked" is a collection of anecdotes, both humorous and serious taken from the extraordinary experiences of Bob Porter. This is a book about lessons he learned from people, many of who are legends. It is presented as a series of verbal snapshots. Snapshots from "those golden days of yesteryear" in his father's wild west in the Oklahoma oil fields. Snapshots of hilarious travel experiences. Snapshots of his mentors in the intelligence and business communities. Snapshots of his out-dueling cancer and the early onset of Parkinson's Disease. Finally, he and his wife's poignant struggle with the tragedy of their brain-damaged child. He describes his personal journey, conveying with equal skill the droll and the tragic. His witty and insightful style establishes him as a raconteur of note.
