Humor and satire may seem like an easy genre, but the reality is that it is a rocky terrain and it is not an easy task to make people laugh. Humor is a double-edged sword, one edge of which is humor and the other is satire. That is why the satirist has to work very carefully. Ghouse Khamakha has presented the problems, difficulties and inequalities occurring in contemporary society in his best satirical and humorous poetry. An important subject of Ghouse Khamakha's poetry is politics and politicians, whom he targets with his satire, expressing his anger and grief. طنز و مزاح بظاہر تو آسان سی صنف معلوم ہوتی ہے لیکن حقیقت یہ ہے کہ یہ ایک سنگلاخ میدان ہے اور اس میں قہقہوں کے گل کھلانا کوئی آسان کام نہیں ہے۔ ظرافت ایک دو دھاری تلوار کا نام ہے جس کی ایک دھار مزاح ہے تو دوسری طنز ہے۔ اسی لئے مزاح نگار کو کافی احتیاط سے کام لینا پڑتا ہے۔ غوث خواہ مخواہ نے عصر حاضر کے سماج میں رونما ہونے والے مسائل ، دشواریوں اور ناہمواروں کو اپنی بہترین طنزیہ و مزاحیہ شاعری میں پیش کیا ہے۔ غوث خواہ مخواہ کی شاعری کا ایک اہم موضوع سیاست اور سیاستداں بھی ہیں جنہیں اپنے طنز کا نشانہ بناتے ہوئے وہ اپنے غم و غصے کا اظہار کرتے ہیں۔ عصر حاضر کے سماجی مسائل کو منظر عام پرلانے اور گندگی کو سماج سے مٹانے میں غوث خواہ مخواہ کی شاعری نے اپنا اہم رول ادا کیا ہے۔
