On the planet Tarak in the Auriga system lives a human population unlike any on Earth-descendants of those said to be transported by the gods after a devastating war on Earth. Numbering around 90 million, the Tarakians have thrived on this Earth-sized world. Across the system, the Ara kians, a fierce warrior race-part human, part alien-originate from a smaller, resource-scarce planet. Overpopulated and brutal, they have conquered many worlds for sport and resources.Initially arriving as emissaries of peace, the Ara kians' goodwill was met with suspicion by the wary Tarakians. That suspicion proved justified when the Ara kians unleashed a massive invasion, dividing Tarak into four regions, each ruled by one of four powerful generals-Nulak, Excarxes, Dalanok, and Rengon. Their goal: subjugate Tarak, exploit its resources, and turn its people into slaves-or destroy them if they resist.The battle has just begun.
