Boots & Shoes is a vintage catalogue published by boot and shoe manufacturing company C. M. Henderson & Co. It contains illustrations of their footwear range, but also includes a wealth of other information including an overview of the company's history, tips and hints on boot care and maintenance, advice on common foot ailments, descriptions of the manufacturing processes, and more. This volume will appeal to those with an interest in vintage shoemaking, and it would make for a worthy addition to collections of allied literature. Contents include: "Special Notice", "Past and Future", "Boots and Shoes", "To The Ladies", "Fur Fine Calf Sewed Shoes", "How Boots and Shoes Should be Made", "Grease Your Boots", "Boot Department", "Rubber Boots and Shoes", "Warranted Rubber Boot", "Press Comments", "Rules for Finding Interest", etc. Many vintage books such as this are becoming increasingly scarce and expensive. We are republishing this volume now in an affordable, modern, high-quality addition complete with specially commissioned new introductions on leather crafting and the history of footwear.
