Buffalo Hunters
The fur trade is gone, and with it the life the mountain men once knew. Levi Johnson, Rusty Steel, and their companions turn to the only opportunity left-buffalo. Millions roam the distant plains, promising fortune to anyone willing to risk the hunt.
But those herds are more than profit to the tribes who have depended on them for generations. As the mountain men ride far from their Rocky Mountain compound in search of unclaimed herds, they must learn a dangerous new trade while treading on ground already claimed by others.
The Searchers
When outlaws rob the Fort Boise payroll, a posse and an army patrol give chase across wild country. The thieves flee south into Yellowstone Valley, hoping the wilderness will swallow their trail-and anyone foolish enough to follow.
Back at the compound, tragedy strikes when another member of their tight-knit community dies. Loss weighs heavy on the mountain men and their families, but the frontier allows little time for mourning. Trouble is already moving through the high country, and Levi and his friends may soon find themselves in its path.
