The images in Canton, Ohio, tell the story of well-known residents including Bezaleel Wells, William McKinley, H.H. Timken, and John Dueber. They also offer a glimpse into the ethnic communities of Canton, and the people who arrived in the city with not much more than lint in their pockets and a belief in the "Promise of America."
