The rock is being poisoned, and it's not only affecting the creatures living under the planet's crust, but it's causing Avaria's Singer to feel intense pain. Ellie Evans, a teenage girl on the cusp of becoming something so much more than she ever dreamed, has been Avaria's Singer for a few years. She's manipulated her energy through music to achieve feats she never imagined possible back on Earth.
As she finally begins to learn something she's wanted since arriving in Avaria, she and Bendrith find themselves tasked with their most difficult challenge yet.
