Jenny's acquaintance, Brinsly, is forced to do something she doesn't want to do-vandalize a picture of the Mona Lisa that hangs in the library at their school by smearing paint across her face.

On loan from a wealthy donor, it is believed to be a potentially valuable, early version of the Mona Lisa, painted by Leonardo DaVinci himself!
Jenny has reason to believe Brinsly may be involved and tries to reach out to her. Brinsly declines the help-she is dealing with more urgent trouble at home.
