Create Your Own Tarot Deck is a beautifully empowering guide for visionaries, artists, and mystics ready to bring their own unique tarot deck to life. Whether you're an illustrator, a spiritual entrepreneur, or someone who's always dreamed of making a deck that reflects your culture, your experiences, and your vision, this book will walk you through the creative process with warmth and clarity.
Author Kasheera Hickson, creator of the celebrated Mahogany Tarot, draws from her own deck-making journey to provide an inspiring and accessible roadmap. You'll learn about deck structure, how to choose a theme, how to design both the Major and Minor Arcana with purpose and representation, and even how to handle print production, card stock, and distribution through self-publishing. She offers real-world tips on what makes a deck resonate with buyers, how to infuse meaning into your cards, and how to bring your inner world to life through powerful visual storytelling.
Unlike overly complex or outdated tarot publishing manuals, this guide is concise, relatable, and deeply aligned with the creative freedom of today's deck makers. You don't need to be a professional artist or an expert reader, just someone with a vision, a bit of courage, and a love for tarot.
Whether your deck is a personal healing tool or a future bestseller, this book is your starting point to creating a deck that's as authentic and powerful as you are.
