Each layman, regardless of his position in a Christian organization, should seek to learn more about the scriptures through personal research and personal communion with God. It is understood that such research is not required for personal salvation; however, this continuous association with biblical passages should instill in each individual a hunger for deeper understanding. One area of biblical study that certainly stands out among the rest is the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
