His name is Seven, after the number etched on the metal plate on his chest.
Or at least, it used to be.
Now, they call him something else: Zelaris, God of the Chained. Those that once hated him now revere him. They believe he will protect them.
But Seven isn't so sure.
At the moment, the most prominent threat is the Kaine Company: a sprawling organization with its fingers in every corner of Alendas. After Seven freed an entire compound of working men, women and children from their grasp, the Kaine Company returned in force, and Seven tossed the severed head of a dragon over the side of the compound's battlement walls, successfully deterring them.
But things are far from settled.
The Kaine Company, the rulers of Marcleif, and the dark god Varcovith: they all want the same thing.
Seven's head.
In order to fight back, in order to survive the coming onslaught and keep his people safe, he's going to have to become the very thing he so despises. A ruler. A king.
Maybe even a God.
