Liam Dougherty is man haunted by his past. An alcohol fueled train wreck, this brilliant psychologist and Catholic priest is haunted by a vision of a man he could not cure before he committed a despicable act - a rampage in a hospital maternity ward. Guilt riddled, Dougherty climbed into a bottle and remained there until coaxed back into the priesthood by the Church to investigate a possible stigmata. This stigmata is on a child with a very rare condition, a child with the ability to rewrite the future of mankind.
