Today, the importance of approaching a foreign language from the earliest years of life is universally recognised. Numerous studies show that early exposure, even solely to the musicality of a language different from one's mother tongue, activates multiple possibilities for children. This publication is addressed to all those who wish to deepen their understanding of the theoretical orientations and the most appropriate approaches for introducing children to the English language within an age range-from 3 months to 6 years-that proves to be particularly sensitive for language learning. Alongside the most recent theoretical perspectives, the volume presents a wide range of experiences carried out in practice, offering insight into how English language teaching for early childhood can be implemented in everyday contexts, laying the foundations for future disciplinary learning.
