Later, railroads, highways, air bases, oil, natural gas, and wind farms joined water as forces shaping the citys history. A century and a half after its founding, Fort Stockton is an innovative city with high-tech dreams, yet the traces and tales of its Old West heritage remain vividly alive along the banks of Comanche Creek.
