Shen's philosophy is characterized by strangification, synthesis, and comparison. His strategy of "strangification" is aimed at overcoming the excessive emphasis on subjectivity that has become a defining flaw of modernity, seeking instead to establish a constructive intellectual foundation for the sound development of contemporary society.

In the context of multiculturalism, mutual respect and mutual enrichment between philosophical traditions and across cultural exchanges can be achieved in the present and future through the new horizon and practice of transcultural philosophy. Chinese philosophy has much to offer in this regard - not in the sense that it will become another dominant philosophy in the generations to come, but because it can contribute to building a more balanced form of transcultural philosophy. Through contrast, strangification, and dialogical philosophy, we will be better equipped to address the impact of technology on culture, to navigate multicultural contexts, and to redefine human experience within emerging cosmic and religious frameworks - all of which will be central to the significance of transcultural philosophy in the years ahead.
