A collection of short stories and poems resurrect the spirit of the Gothic Blue Book.
Gothic Blue Books were short fictions popular in the 18th and 19th centuries. Descendants of the chap book trade, these slim volumes terrified readers with tales of ghosts, witches, haunted houses, cursed lands, and restless spirits.
Burial Day Books presents its fourth Gothic Blue Book: The Folklore Edition.
This haunting anthology blends the chilling essence of folklore with Gothic tradition, presenting twenty-one short stories and poems from acclaimed and emerging voices in horror. From regional legends to whispered campfire tales, each story awakens the folklore that lurks in the dark corners of our collective imagination.
Highlights Include:
Jay Bonansinga - New York Times bestselling author and Bram Stoker Award finalist with his brand new tale Bivouac.
Bruce Boston - Bram Stoker Award and Pushcart Prize-winning poet with a collection of haunting poems.
