This is the thirty-ninth bilingual haiku collection originally written by this author, and is dedicated to the Decorah bald eagles whose territory is located in the northeastern enclave of Decorah, Iowa. Since the publication of the first haiku collection for bald eagles in 2019, many things-including dramatic and tragic events-have happened to the Decorah bald eagles and their eaglets. This collection fills the gap, updating it.
This haiku anthology was written in order to have a comprehensive and as accurate a record as possible of the Decorah bald eagles, to the best knowledge of this author, for future birders and wildlife observers in general and bald eagle enthusiasts in particular.
This haiku collection introduces 90 original haikus for four seasons, plus 'new year' that counts as a small season in the Japanese calendar.
