Jiddis
A Yiddish translation of the Hebrew Bible, specifically the book of Genesis. The translator, Yehoash (pseudonym of Solomon Blumgarten), was a prominent figure in the Yiddish cultural and literary scene of the early 20th century. His translation aimed to make the Bible more accessible to Yiddish-speaking Jews, who were often excluded from mainstream religious institutions. This edition includes an introduction and notes by the translator.
