He's known as Doc Stanton - a sawbones with a price on his head and blood on his hands.
Busted out of Laramie jail by three desperate men, Stanton is smuggled into the hills above Fargo on a stagecoach run by the mysterious Tor Cranton. His payment? Patching up a dying mining camp caught in a brutal range war. Fargo wants the miners wiped out. Major Fleggett and the town's big men are planning one final raid to win railroad land - and a fortune. Standing in their way is a handful of freezing, starving miners who now see Stanton as their only hope.
And riding hard into town is Sheriff Anton Palmer of Laramie, who killed two of the men who broke Stanton out and wants the Doc for himself - dead or alive, for the bounty. Trapped between law, greed, and loyalty, Stanton must decide whether his oath is to heal - or to kill. A hard-hitting, classic Western of justice, betrayal, and gun-smoke medicine.
