Significant mechanical and thermal stresses occur at high temperatures, and Mechanical Behaviour of Materials at High Temperature provides an integrated and comprehensive source of information on topics including the techniques used to measure and analyze mechanical properties, the mechanisms of deformation and fracture in creep, fatigue, thermal fatigue and creep/fatigue interaction, the development of high temperature materials and the factors influencing their service performance. The topics of metal matrix and ceramic matrix composites receive special attention. The most recent progress in these areas is reviewed, including some very recent industrial applications. The material is presented at the postgraduate level.
