Teljes leírás

This is the first collection from Ben Johnson, an award-winning poet based in Hampshire. Metamorphoses was originally conceived as a one-man poetry show that was performed at the Bournemouth Fringe Festival in 2015.

Told with sharp wit, deep empathy, and a haunting prophetic vision, this collection explores what happens when man becomes creator. The collection is a narrative sequence built on mortality, magic, machines and rabbits- lots of rabbits.

From the first man being drawn from clay in the Garden of Eden, through to production lines of robots, man has always been obsessed with creation. This book follows that path through humanity's rise to godhood and asks the question: what sort of gods will we be?
