On a snowy winter morning, suburban mom Annie Prockner is taking her 13-year-old, Max, to school while her husband Ben drives eight-year-old Patty. The blizzard thickens, and the mist between worlds thins. It doesn't take long before they each realize that they aren't in Kansas anymore: mother and son, father and daughter have separately passed through the veil.
