Inconel 625 is nickel base supper alloy. It is widely used alloy in various industries namely space, telecommunication and petroleum. It has excellent mechanical and physical properties such as high strength at high temperature, high hardness, corrosion resistance and high fatigue strength. Due to this superior property machining of this alloy is very difficult. Besides, due to thermal conductivity temperature of cutting zone increases very rapidly which lead the built up edge formation. Chip produces during the machining of Inconel 625 is continuous in nature leads to surface damage during machining as disposal is very difficult. All these difficulties result into poor surface finish and dimensional inaccuracy. Further BUE formation aggravates tool wear and increase the cutting force, reduces the performance of the machining process.
