All my life, I'd been dreaming of two things: shining in the spotlight on stage and falling in love. When I landed the lead part in the spring musical junior year, it felt like everything was falling into place. Especially when my childhood best friend came waltzing back into my life. Only, he'd gone from a scrawny pre-teen to a handsome athlete, and it was hard to take my eyes off of him.
Especially when he ended up as my co-lead for the musical. But our friendship meant too much to me to risk. I wasn't sure my heart could survive losing him again.
