This songbook (bilingual - German and English) is aimed at guitarists who want to accompany Hank Williams songs using fingerpicking.
The focus is on accompaniment: Each song is notated with suitable fingerpicking patterns, replacing simple strumming for accompaniment. This creates a full, multi-layered sound that supports and melodically accompanies the vocals.
All pieces are notated in guitar tablature. Standard musical notation is used for the vocal melody, and the lyrics also help with orientation within the song.
Each song includes sound effects: the guitar and vocal melody, as well as the melody (in piano sound) on its own, for playing along and practicing. The sounds are available in an online player with speed control; no installation or registration is required.
In addition to the sounds, there are also useful downloads. Extra-long songs are available as PDF downloads, eliminating the need to flip through pages. The standard lyrics are available, and if you want to play a song in a different key, a comprehensive transposition guide is provided.
