While the world grows quiet, many people face an unseen struggle. A frightening dream, recurring nightmare, or anxious anticipation of sleep can leave the heart unsettled long after the eyes have opened. Instead of finding rest, the night becomes a time of tension, uncertainty, and fear.
Bad dreams can affect anyone. Children wake up crying after terrifying images. Adults carry stress, grief, trauma, or anxiety into the night and find themselves startled awake by vivid nightmares. Others become afraid to fall asleep at all, wondering if another distressing dream is waiting for them. These experiences can leave a person feeling exhausted, emotionally drained, and spiritually discouraged.
Yet even the darkest night remains under God's authority.
While we rest, He remains watchful. His presence is not limited by darkness, and His care does not end when our eyes close. We are never beyond His loving attention.
These prayers are built upon that enduring truth.
We may not always know why certain dreams come, but we know the God who remains faithful through every night.
Christians are not promised lives free from difficult nights. Faith does not eliminate every frightening dream or anxious season. Instead, faith teaches us where to turn when those experiences come. God invites His children to bring every fear, every burden, and every sleepless hour before Him in prayer. Even when answers are delayed or rest does not come immediately, His presence remains constant.
