"Recipes from Our Home" is a collection of 29 recipes spanning cultures from around the world, with dishes for any time of day.
Apna Ghar is privileged to have been able to empower survivors, engage communities, and elevate gender and racial justice! Over these years, so many survivors have been gracious enough to share the meals they love with our broader community. These recipes make up Recipes From Our Home. From savory masalas to sweet chocolates, we are sure you'll find a new favorite for your home.
At Apna Ghar survivors frequently interact with one another, fostering new bonds and connections through staff led cooking groups as well as their own social interactions. Often survivors do not speak the same language as each other, but everyone gains a deeper understanding of each other when preparing and sharing food or a meal.
Each purchase of Recipes from Our Home supports Apna Ghar, Inc in its continued mission to end gender violence. Your support enables us to continue providing services including housing, 24/7 crisis lines, and legal/medical advocacy, aiding our efforts to provide safety and empowerment for survivors.
