"These are the words Moses spoke to all Israel" (Deuteronomy 1:1). Standing on the plains of Moab, with the Promised Land in view and his own death only days away, Moses gathered a new generation for one final month and urged them to remember. Remember what God had done. Remember what He had said. Remember how often they had forgotten. Deuteronomy is his farewell, and it became one of the books Jesus quoted most, including every answer He gave Satan in the wilderness.

Remember: Reflections on the Book of Deuteronomy, Expanded Edition, is the fifth volume in The Daily Quiet Time Reflections Series. This fully rewritten edition draws on more than a decade of daily Quiet Time reflections shared by the whole dailyqt.org community, together with Sunday School teaching at First Baptist Church in Dallas. In twelve chapters, one for each day's reading, Eugene Han walks through Moses' review of the wilderness years, the Ten Commandments and the Shema, the laws for Israel's life in the land, the blessings and curses of the covenant, the promise of a circumcised heart, and Moses' death on Mount Nebo.

This is not a technical commentary written for seminarians. It is a companion for ordinary believers who want to read Deuteronomy slowly and honestly, and to see how its call to remember, love, and obey points forward to Jesus Christ.

Each chapter includes:

- A close, readable walk through that day's passage, grounded in careful study but written for everyday readers
- Cross-references tracing how the New Testament draws on Deuteronomy, from Jesus' temptation in the wilderness to Paul's "the word is near you"
- Honest engagement with the book's hardest material, such as the laws of warfare, the rebellious son, divorce, and the blessings and curses of Deuteronomy 28, with the author's own view stated and other faithful views presented fairly
- Six reflection and discussion questions, ideal for personal devotion or small-group Bible study

Whether you are reading through the Bible for the first time, leading a Bible study, or finishing the five books of Moses after Beginnings, Deliverance, Holiness, and Wanderings, this book offers twelve chapters of careful reflection on a book whose words, Moses said, "are not just idle words for you-they are your life."
