Hallie Hart's life takes a twist when she unknowingly moves next door to her past love, Rio DeLuca, while starting an internship with a prominent interior designer in Chicago. Their history is intertwined; they were childhood neighbors, experienced first love, and heartbreak. Six years after their split, Hallie faces the challenge of renovating Rio’s bachelor pad into a family home, despite the tension that still lingers between them.
Rio never expected to be the last single friend in his circle, resigned to the idea that love may not be in his future. That perspective shifts when he hires Hallie for his renovation project, triggering unresolved feelings and memories from their shared past. He realizes that the connection he has sought for years was present during his adolescence, as the only girl he ever loved is now right next door once again.
Rewind It Back is the concluding volume of the Windy City series, capturing themes of rekindled love, growth, and the complexities of revisiting one’s past. It is designed as a standalone novel, welcoming both devoted fans and new readers eager to explore this heartfelt narrative.
