God is holy and righteous; He also demands both from us. However, today, personal, and national righteousness are both at very low ebb. Sin, in its worst form, has produced moral degradation and all forms of perversions in human societies. Many nations of the world and their people stink in God's nostrils because of their worsening sin records. Most leaders and governments across the globe are consistently offending God by making ungodly laws that promote unrighteousness and all kinds of abominable acts. Some of these nations have legalized same-sex marriage, transgenderism, and bestiality.
Similarly, all the abominations of nations that the Bible decries such as idolatry, witchcraft, incest, passing children through fire and necromancy, occultism and all forms of modern abominations have now reached their all-time high. The consequences of this outright departure from God and His righteousness are what we see in man's miseries. God is never happy with sin and will always judge unrighteous people and nations.
