Griffonia seeds (Griffonia simplicifolia)The overall objective of this study is to contribute to the valorization of Griffonia simplicifolia seeds from the Togolese flora in agri-food and pharmacology. Specifically, the study aims to: study the phytochemical and biochemical composition of the seeds; quantify 5-HTP and isolate it; At the end of the research results, the Griffonia simplicifolia seeds of the Togolese flora present an immense nutritional potential and contain phytoconstituents with interesting pharmacological properties: - alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, saponins and total phenols in the seeds, attesting their pharmacological virtues. - the oil extracted from the seeds, presents edible physicochemical characteristics. - the seeds contain minerals such as: Ca, P, K, Na, Mg, Zn, Cu, Fe and Mn.- they also contain the amino acids: Ile, Trp, Phe and Leu.
