Laced with cogent sensual visions of 'straight orientation' with India as its base, the novella contains the escapades of a man from Punjab living as a 'forced bachelor' on 'punishment posting' in a state capital of south India. His first love is a tribal woman living in the city for livelihood. Then there are more 'lilies' coming his way, in a suspenseful manner; all haunted by the vagaries of grassroots level Indian social norms. The novella portraits the covert play of sensuality in the 'salad culture' of India, whereby the people professing various social groups, present real unity in diversity on sensual front. The focus is on the helplessness of the Indian woman in the face of insurmountable customs, conventions, and traditions created by the ego-centric male chauvinistic society and the extent to which she can go to hoodwink the social pretentions; for self-preservation. The novella contains visions of India's general scenario as well. It is the story of the common people of India in flesh and blood; for the whole world to know!
