This book is about how the storms, i.e. adversity and difficult circumstances, we encounter in life and how we respond make us the person we are. It may sound strange, but it is the storms we encounter that provide the 'stimuli' that help us grow as a person. Nobody is immune from the storms, even doing what is right can lead to adversity and difficult circumstances. And the person we are is like tapestry, consisting of the storms we've encountered, woven intricately together with how we respond. Without realising it, it is not adversity and difficult circumstances that break us. It is how we respond that 'makes us' or 'breaks us'. We could see adversity and difficult circumstances as fate, or we could make self-defeating (wrong) choices and decisions in response to adversity and difficult circumstances, and be broken. But we could be pragmatic, embrace adversity and difficult circumstances as opportunities and use them to grow as a person. Trees which are battered by storms grow stronger than trees grown in the calm. And eagles love storms, because the storms help them soar to new heights. Nobody wants to be caught in the storms, but like the eagle, everyone and anyone can use the storms they encounter to grow and to transform their life.
