Blogger Ella Jacobs likes everything perfect. So, when her carefully organised world implodes, she's horrified to discover the wrong man proposing to her - live on her blog.
Chef Jake Philips is the last man Ella would ever choose. Scarred by his parents' bitter divorce, Jake avoids commitment, whether it's a job or a woman. But after one impulsive act of kindness, he suddenly finds himself engaged to Ella and spending the summer at Maple Tree Lodge.
When the beloved countryside hotel comes under threat, Ella and Jake are forced to work together to save it for the Jackson family. Can Ella's organisational genius rescue the lodge? And can Jake rediscover the passion for cooking he thought he'd lost?
Over a magical summer, unexpected sparks fly between the most unlikely couple. But with the lodge, their careers and their carefully guarded hearts at stake, can Ella and Jake turn their fake engagement into something real?
