Sundance School in the 1979s and 1980s
Sundance School was a less-structured alternative school established under pressure from parents by the Greater Victoria School Board in 1973. Though it was called "less structured," there were many structures, including being organized into multi-aged Families and classes called Offerings. The school continued to change gradually until in the early 1990s it was considered redundant. This book describes the author's experiences as a parent and teacher at Sundance. As well, the author encourages modern parents to start their own alternative school using some of the ideas from Sundance.
