Mama is forgetting the smell of her own children.
First it was coffee. Then snow. Now, when she holds Ezra, she can't smell him at all. Her star-metal heart is wearing out, and only one thing on earth can save her: a crumb of blue azure.
The last piece in New York hangs at the center of an Armenian wedding necklace. It was carried across a desert in 1915, sewn into the hem of a dress. Its owner would never sell it. Not for any price.
Then, the night before the wedding, the necklace vanishes.
Only four people knew where it was hidden. Two of them are the jeweler and his wife. The other two are Ezra and his father.
To save his mother, Ezra has to find the thief and prove it isn't him.
And somewhere in the snowy streets of East Harlem, a tall man in a gray coat is following a compass that has just started to twitch.
A clean young adult historical fantasy mystery about family, memory, and the threads that hold us together. Book Three of the Azure: One Heart for Four series, for teens 12 and up.
