Rowan Price has three rules:
Miles Kowalski has one problem: The only tutor who can save his eligibility is the sister of the player he got cut last year.
When Coach catches Miles meeting with Rowan and assumes they're dating, Miles offers her a deal: pretend they're together. Extra $4,000 for her scholarship gap. Cover story for him. Both tell themselves it's transactional.
But fake dating a man you hate is hard when:
The lie was supposed to protect them. The truth might destroy everything.
Rowan knows why Miles cut her brother. She read his journal. He did it because he was scared - not of losing, but of being the man his father says he is.
Miles knows he doesn't deserve forgiveness. He's not asking for it. He's asking for one more chance to show her that the man who cut Jake isn't the man who fell in love with Rowan.
But forgiveness requires trust. And trust requires time.
And they're running out of both.
