Explorer: The Portal
Book One of The Explorer Chronicles
Home is gone. Humanity is scattered. Hope may lie beyond the next portal.
Captain Andrew Becker never expected his mission to become humanity's last chance for survival.
When the starship Explorer is swept through an ancient network of mysterious portals into an uncharted galaxy, Becker and his crew discover a truth no one on Earth could have imagined: they are not the first humans to cross the stars.
Across the galaxy, forgotten colonies struggle to survive in hiding while a merciless Empire hunts humanity to extinction. Every portal reveals new allies, dangerous enemies, and breathtaking worlds-but each discovery also draws Becker's growing fleet closer to the Empire's relentless gaze.
Outnumbered and outgunned, the crew of Explorer must forge unlikely alliances, rescue the last survivors of lost civilizations, and overcome impossible odds with courage, ingenuity, and sacrifice. Along the way, they uncover an ancient secret that could change everything: Earth's location was deliberately hidden centuries ago, protected by a trail of clues left among thirteen legendary human colonies.
Now the hunt for Earth has become far more than a journey home.
It is a race against an enemy that will stop at nothing to ensure humanity's birthplace is never found.
Filled with unforgettable characters, pulse-pounding space battles, mysterious alien worlds, and the enduring hope that shines brightest in humanity's darkest hour, Explorer: The Portal is the thrilling first installment of an epic new space adventure.
Somewhere among the stars, humanity's greatest secret is waiting... if they can survive long enough to find it.
