Our story is about parenting our young athletes towards elite basketball success.
Let this book help you be in the driver's seat of your kids' elite youth sport journey. It will guide you in helping your kids be in control of their growth as athletes.
How can my kids maximize their chances of growth and success on the basketball court and in sports? How can I stay involved and support my kids? How can my children evolve constructively in their sport? From young toddlers to successful elite basketball players in the NBA, WNBA and NCAA, our son, Olivier-Maxence Prosper, and daughter, Cassandre Prosper, drove their growth to drive their game. How did we do it as parents? How did we do it as their coaches? If you are looking for answers to these types of questions, this book is for you.
This book shares the parenting values, principles, challenges, learnings and takeaways that guided our lives and facilitated our kids' growth for a successful basketball journey. It will stimulate ideas and questions to help you make decisions for the best interests of your children in their journey toward elite sport.
Becoming an elite athlete is about more than just talent; it's about everything surrounding the athlete to maximize that talent. For us, it was about developing a combination of different elements working in synergy, a whole ecosystem of skills:
• Mental and life skills
• Physical and basketball skills
• People and environmental skills
To drive your kids' game, drive their growth!
