Twenty-One Days of Consecration is designed to help you begin your journey of consecration and prayer. It should not represent the entirety of your time spent with Him. Schedule time and prepare a place to linger in His Presence. Before reading the Scripture and devotion of the day, begin by entering a time of thanksgiving and praise. Think on Who He is and Who He is to you. Open your mouth and express your love and adoration to Him. Lift your hands with your heart and bow your entire being before Him. Allow Him, your Heavenly Father, to lavish His loving Presence upon you.
Each daily devotional includes a scriptural foundation. Take the time to go deeper in your study of the Scripture as Holy Spirit begins to highlight certain areas that are specific to you. The short devotionals provide reflections designed to direct your thoughts toward the Lord. The devotions are meant to be a starting point only. Settle in, still your soul, and yield to Holy Spirit, so that you can hear what He's saying to you. Don't allow this to become a "check the box" moment; instead, linger in meditation, listen, and let the transforming power of God's Word and Voice speak to you. Wow! He not only wants to hear our prayers, but He also wants to commune with us. So, don't rush; take the time to delight in the sweet communion with your Heavenly Father.
