1942. The world is on fire.
Across the Pacific, the Japanese war machine sweeps across the theater, crushing Allied lines and forcing desperate retreats. Out of the ashes of Pearl Harbor and Bataan, a shadow agency rises: the Office of Strategic Services. Their tradecraft? Sabotage, subversion, intelligence, and deadly diversion.
Enter Project 14-the brainchild of Major Robert Biggs, a civilian lawyer thrust into a wartime commission. His concept is as crazy as it is desperate: assemble a ragtag, multinational strike force composed entirely of battle-hardened survivors from every corner of the globe. From hard-bitten American infantrymen to French tank officers, Russian engineers, and Australian scouts, they are the men and women the front lines left behind-and the ultimate weapons to send deep behind enemy lines.
When Allied High Command in the Pacific dismisses the project as a gamble, a sinister secret operation in North Africa changes the game overnight. Dropped into the blistering sands in the shadow of the Second Battle of El Alamein, Unit 14 must race against the clock to expose a terrifying plot that could turn the tide of the entire war.
One unit. No backup. Infinite danger.
