Stem cells have been the protagonists of studies in various areas of the biological and health sciences for more than two decades. Tissues and organs can now be regenerated using cell therapy. This technique is based on the unique characteristics of adult stem cells, which have pluripotent properties, i.e. the ability to differentiate into cells of various types of adult tissues. Cell therapy technology not only makes it possible to safely treat diseases that affect the central nervous system, cardiac tissue, the spine, among others, but also other alterations that are not necessarily characterised as a pathology, but which have a major influence on the self-confidence and well-being of individuals, such as in the area of plastic surgery. This book reflects exactly this flexibility. The author, concerned with research and maintaining all the safety required in surgical procedures, has provided his patients with faster and more discreet healing.
