Versos en Mi Vida / Verses of My Life is a bilingual collection of poetry by Marta Fernández - known in Cuba as the beloved child actress Martica Díaz, often called "the Cuban Shirley Temple."
Long before she became an award-winning Spanish teacher in the United States, she was reciting poetry on stages and radio programs across Havana. After emigrating to the United States in 1963, Dr. Fernández devoted her life to education, family, and cultural preservation. Throughout every chapter of her life - from Havana to Chicago - poetry remained her quiet companion.
