Decline or rise - between these two poles of the early Rassenhygiene or Eugenik different positions and recommendations were proposed for the prevention of the so-called Entartung of the modern Kulturmenschheit or the promotion of the so-called Hoherzuchtung. The suggested agendas covered limited assistance for so-called weak, special facilitation or ban of marriage and forced sterilization to the point of state-controlled reproduction of human beings. As a consequence, by the end of the 19th and at the beginning of the 20th century an extensive variety of rassenhygienischer literature emerged in Germany forming the basis for the present discourse analysis.
