When a blood-stained invitation arrives at Eve Winters' door before dawn, it leads to a dance with the mysterious Asher Blackwood at a museum gala. His weekend invitation to his family's estate seems too intriguing to refuse. Despite her recent nightmares about blood and ancient horrors, she agrees to join her friends at the mansion known as The Rabids.
The sprawling Gothic estate holds centuries of dark secrets. As night falls, Eve and her friends discover the terrible truth-they're not guests, but prey. The aristocratic Blackwood family harbors an inhuman hunger, and their elaborate dinner party is about to turn deadly.
With the mansion transforming into a labyrinth of horrors, Eve and her friend Michelle must fight to survive until dawn. As their friends fall victim to the family's bloodthirsty nature, they uncover the estate's darkest secret-hundreds of people suspended between life and death, preserved like vintage wine for the vampires' pleasure.
Now Eve must embrace her own darkness to save those she loves. But in a house where even death isn't permanent, survival might be worse than dying.
Some appetites, once awakened, can never be satisfied.
